Discovering Tuscia, Italy
When people talk about Italy, they think of the crystal-clear waters of its seas, good food, the snow-capped peaks of the Dolomites and Vespas whizzing through traffic.
But what if we told you that there are still hidden, almost untouched gems that retain a primordial charm? This is Tuscia region, an area rich in history, culture and natural beauty just a stone's throw from Rome.
Meher Kakalia has chosen it as the setting for her AW23 collection - the designer was looking for a place where nature was lush and could blend perfectly with her creations.
Among the first places she visited was Lake Vico, with its placid waters, and then up to Mount Cimino, with its stupendous and majestic beech forest.
During her trip, the designer got to meet Giulio Della Rocca, a native and great supporter of Tuscia, who lovingly engages daily in promoting this land around the world.
