ANZU LOAFER
Description
The ANZU Loafer is a handcrafted women’s velvet loafer with detailed artisan embroidery. It is available in brown-and-cream and red-and-cream tie-dye velvet colourways, with embroidery combinations varying by style. As the velvet is dyed by hand, colour placement and shade vary naturally from shoe to shoe.
Inspired by bird motifs found in Native American textiles, the embroidery references ideas of protection, guidance and communication. Meher Kakalia reworks the motif through silk thread, mukesh metalwork, beadwork and small leather appliqués.
The loafer has a soft, relaxed construction, while the lightweight EVA block sole keeps the shoe flexible and light
